Willow and Cherry class is now called Pine class.
We have had a busy few weeks in Pine Class. We have been working hard to develop our understanding and knowledge of diversity. We have learnt the story of the rainbow fish and completed a range of activities which highlight the significance that its ok to be different. In maths we have been working on our data handling skills, sorting and collecting data using Tally charts. We then learnt how to represent this data using a pictogram and bar chart. We have had some excellent forest schools sessions this term (despite the rain). We have been using our imaginations to create potions and prepare meals in the mud kitchen. These sessions are providing us with valuable opportunities to develop our interpersonal skills including sharing confidence, positive language and build secure relationships.
The pupils are all doing 'Read, Write, inc. or Fresh Start. This includes phonics, handwriting, reading and writing.
In maths, pupils will be working using 'White Rose' and Abacus resources. https://whiterosemaths.com
