Standard Assessment Tests (SATS)

Should you require any further information regarding our SATS data, please contact our primary schools directly.

The Standards and Testing Agency set the tests to assess children in education from early years to the end of KS2 (Key Stage 2).

These tests are:

  • Key stage 1 and key stage 2 tests – commonly referred to as SATs.
  • Phonics screening check.
  • Science sampling tests.
  • Multiplication times table check.

Schools must keep these periods free for administering the national curriculum assessments at key stages 1 and 2. Key stage 2 tests must be taken on the scheduled days.
