Educational visit to the Mosque

Pupils recently visited Leicester Central Mosque to deepen their understanding of different faiths and places of worship. Oakfield pupils had a guided tour around the Mosque learning about the religion of Islam. Pupils were able to explore the prayer hall and the ablution facilities (the facilities to support the Islamic procedure for cleansing parts of their body).  We were guided by Shoaib, who spoke to pupils about the 5 pillars of Islam. Pupils were able to ask questions and deepen their knowledge of prayer and worship for Muslims.
