Oakfield hold a weekly Primary Behaviour Forum, the first step for support. Schools come to Oakfield and talk about their concerns about a pupil(s). They are led by specialist practitioner’s currently teaching and supporting pupils with very challenging behaviours in a pupil referral unit.
Schools participating in the forum will discuss their concerns. Schools leave with strategies to further trial or understand how to seek support from other professionals/agencies.
Senior staff, classroom practitioners and family support workers from Oakfield, alongside a representative from supporting Leicestershire Families, school nursing, EHCP facilitators and early help attend these meetings forum agrees an action plan and follows up with a visit, phone call, training or email, whatever is needed as part of a bespoke package of support.
